Meet your Chef, Lorenzo Salami
Born and raised near Modena, Italy, Lorenzo found his passion for food while sitting around the family table enjoying the happiness and closeness that sharing a good meal brings to family members and friends.
This discovery will push him to leave his high school studies and get into culinary school.
After obtaining a culinary diploma, and having learnt the basis of the iconic Italian cuisine, Lorenzo decided to expand his professional expertise in London, where he worked in the two Michelin star restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon for one of the most critically acclaimed French Chefs.
Following a brief experience in Antigua & Barbuda, in the Caribbean, he worked for two years in Versailles, France, in a two Michelin star restaurant owned by celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay, where he perfected his techniques and skills.
He eventually came back to London where, after working for one year in restaurant Hedone, one Michelin star, he decided to explore the catering world by collaborating with some of London top catering companies, organising private dinners, office receptions and cocktail parties for both private households, galleries and luxury boutiques.
His most recent experience saw him as Royal Sous-Chef for the Household of TRH The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall.
At the beginning of 2021, Lorenzo launched Salami Events, a private chef and catering services company based in London, which offers fine dining services in the comfort of its clients’ homes or chosen venues.
